SYNOPSIS: During the harsh rural post-war years in Catalonia, Andreu is a child who belonged to the losing side. One day he finds two dead bodies in the forest, one of a man and the other his son. The authorities want to blame the murders on Andreuʼs father but he wants to find out who killed them. During this time, Andreu is awakened to the moral conscience of a world whereby adults are fed upon lies. To survive, he betrays his own roots and ends up discovering the monster that inhabits him.
